On May 30, 2018, the Hellenic Parliament ratified the Agreement between the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Greek Government (represented by the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs) for the Establishment of the Center on Integrated and Multi-disciplinary Water Resources Management (CIMWRM) at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as a Class II Center, under the auspice of UNESCO.
