International forum for SDG6 (21-21/3/2019)

The UNESCO cat.II Center for Integrated and Interdisciplinary Water Resources Management (CIIWRM) of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) is organizing, in cooperation with relevant organizations, a Conference that will bring forward the various issues of water, into the framework of Sustainable Development, public and social responsibility and democratic function in the area of the South Eastern Europe. Issues of ethics, communication, and technology will also be in the agenda.

The forum/conference is under the auspices of the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO, and the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy.Relevant organizations, Agencies and UNESCO Water Centers and Chairs from the South Eastern Europe countries, are invited to participate and contribute. The idea is to initiate a discussion and make a synergy among agencies, scientists and society (social groups interested in water and water management issues).

The forum/conference will focus on Goal 6 of Sustainable Development SDG6, along with its various ratifications, under the title:
“Sustainable Urban Water and Sanitation: Public Goods in the Service of Society”

The forum/conference is co-organized by the following organizations: Region of Central Macedonia, Thessaloniki Water Supply and Sewerage Company (EYATH S.A.), Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company (EYDAP S.A.), Hellenic Association of Municipal Water and Sewerage Companies (E.D.E.Y.A.).
